Free mental health screenings

St. Joes Mercy Chelsea is holding free mental health screenings in Manchester this month as May is Mental Health Awareness Month. The screening is a “paper and pencil” screening. Participants will answer questions which will be scored and the score will help determine if they may need mental health services.

Just like blood pressure screenings are helpful for physical health, screenings can be helpful for our mental health. Mental health screenings are offered at no cost by a licensed professional who will help develop an appropriate, individualized plan of support.

Behavioral health navigator, Kathy Walz, will be holding screenings in Manchester on Tuesday, May 14th at the Manchester Wellness Center from 8:30am to 11am and at the Community Resource Center from 2pm to 4pm. To schedule a screening or if you are in need of behavioral health navigator services in general, call 734-680-5312.

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
