Betty Ann Suhre (1932 – 2019)

Her Legacy… Betty Ann Suhre, Age 87, passed away May 3, 2019. She was born on March 29, 1932 in East Alton, Illinois to Albert and Anna (Baldwin) Travis. Betty married the love of her life, Darrel Suhre on July 12, 1958, in Woodriver, Illinois. Betty was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ in Manchester. She loved to play Bunco, researching genealogy and was an avid reader. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her Family… Betty will be missed by her sons Rodney (Eva) Suhre, Jeffrey Suhre and Kerby (Mary) Suhre; grandchildren Katrina Suhre, Joshua Suhre, Matthew Suhre, Jessie (Jon) Kutz, Emily (Thayne) Kauer, Nick Moss, Kelsey (Brian) Dobson, and James Orleans; four great-grandchildren Kylee, Elliss, Addelyn and Taron; brother in-laws Richard (Dot) Suhre, Kenneth Suhre and Maynard (Marion) Suhre and an “adopted son” Michael Cameron. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Darrel, a sister Elva and a brother Bub.

Her Farewell… Betty’s family and friends will gather Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 10 – 11:00 am at Bethel United Church of Christ, 10425 Bethel Church Rd. in Manchester where her Farewell will be held at 11:00 am. Rev. David Bucholtz will be officiating. Burial will take place next to her husband in Alhambra, Illinois at a later date.
