Riverbend Nature Preserve

Riverbend Nature Preserve in Bridgewater Township was established by the county 13 years ago. It is comprised of 58 acres and contains a wide, flat section of the River Raisin as well as the remains of the Clinton Branch of the Michigan Southern Railroad. If you have not had a chance to explore it yet, join Washtenaw County naturalists Faye Stoner and Ron Gamble on Sunday, June 2, from 2 to 4pm. In each habitat you will look for and learn about insects, birds, wildflowers, woody plants, and more.

To get to the preserve from the Village, drive south; head east on Austin Road, then turn right on Clinton Road for 4.1 miles. Make a sharp right turn onto Allen Road. The preserve is immediately on the west side of the road. The address is 12639 Allen Rd.
