Road work this week

This week the Washtenaw County Road Commision will be working in multiple places of our community. 

In Freedom Township, Parker Road between Weber and Pleasant Lake Road will have intermittent lane closures for limestone resurfacing.

In Sharon Township, in addition to the Sharon Valley Rd Bridge work, Eusades between Jacob Road and Sharon Hollow Road, and Below Road between Prospect Hill Road and Jacob Road will both have intermittent lane closures for gravel resurfacing this week.

Paving began on the Sharon Valley Road Bridge last Thursday. Once paving has been completed, they will begin on safety-related contract work including guardrail, shoulders, pavement markings and slope restoration, all of which needs to be completed before the road will be reopened to traffic.

The WCRC is on schedule to open the bridge by the end of June, as long as the weather cooperates.
