The famed Parker Barn, in Bridgewater Township, is one of many featured in the 2020 MAHS Calendar.

The 2020 Manchester Area Historical Society (MAHS) calendar is now available! For 36 years, the MAHS annual calendar has become a Manchester tradition.

Since 1984, MAHS has produced an annual historical calendar, featuring some aspect of the history of the Manchester area, as a fundraiser for the society. Themes have included schools, the Civil War, railroads, centennial farms, oral histories, and area businesses. Produced locally and sold by area merchants, these collectible calendars have been popular since their inception.

At first featuring original artwork by local artist Bill Shurtliff, the calendar has evolved to publishing historic photos as well as business advertising and oral histories of long-time Manchester residents. But at its center, the calendar has always been all about Manchester. This year’s calendar features local farms and the families who live on them.

The calendars are now available for just $10 at the following local businesses: River Raisin Antiques, Linda’s Diner, Manchester Hometown Pharmacy, Manchester True Value, Kellie’s Diner, Andrews Family Chiropractic, Bridgewater Sales and Service, the MAHS gift shop, the Manchester Blacksmith Shop, and will be available at Alber Orchard during apple season.

These calendars make beautiful gifts for anyone who cares about the Manchester community, and help support the mission of the MAHS.

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
