The Manchester Community Fair Board has been busy planning, “The biggest little fair in Michigan,” also known as the 75th Manchester Community Fair, being held July 9-13, 2019. This year’s fair will have most of the same time-honored traditions of fairs of the past but this year we have added some new exciting attractions. Therefore, the Fair board has several announcements to make about the 75th Manchester Community Fair.

The traditional fair parade will be 6:30 pm on Tuesday night, July 9, with Peggy & Barry Allen as the Honored Grand Marshals. Some of the changes at this year’s fair are that there will be no carnival rides on Tuesday night (due to the Carnival’s availability) but Kelly’s Inflatables will be there with several inflatables and are FREE with your admission to the fair. Carnival rides and Midway will be in full swing starting on Wednesday at 3 pm.

There will be only one night of Lost Nations rodeo and it will be Wednesday night starting at 7:30 pm. A new event for this year’s fair is KOI Drag Racing. Anyone can sign up and be a part of the KOI Drag Racing. See their website http://www.koidragracing.com/ for details and how to sign up. We will be ending out the fair with two nights of USA Demolition Derby. Friday night will be the Bump and Run along with Stock Front Wheel Drive Demolition Derby. Saturday night will feature Front Wheel Drive and Rear Wheel Drive Figure 8 derby. If you would like to build a car and be a part of these great event you can–go to http://www.usademoderby.com/ for rules and requirements.

If you don’t want to build a car for Friday night’s events but still want to be a part of the derby, Manchester Community Fair will be providing a derby-ready car for you to drive in either the ‘Bump and Run’ or the ‘Demolition Class.’ All you need to do is purchase a raffle ticket for your chance to drive and show up at the fairgrounds at 7 pm Friday night to see if you are the lucky winner. Tickets are $5 apiece or 5 for $20 and can be purchased at Manchester Collision and Towing located at 18481 West Austin Road, Manchester, Bader & Sons Co. located at 106 N Occidental Hwy, Tecumseh, or at the fair office.

Saturday July 13, from 1 to 5 pm we will have our expanded Touch-A-Truck event along with a Magician, Pedal pull, face painting, “make-it-take” activities, balloon twister, Kid’s prize drawing, and much more!

As you can see, there have been a lot of changes in addition to many of the traditional events such as the Parade, the Crowning of the Queen, Nightly Drawing, Kids Power Wheel Derby, tractor pulls, animal judging, and more at the fair this year. For a complete list of events and times please pick up a fair book or check out the fair’s website at www.manchesterfair.org.
