Over the Edge to host W4 Country Idol qualifying round June 25

Warm up your vocal cords and start practicing your favorite country song for your next audition–the ever popular 102.9 W4 Country Idol contest is coming to Manchester!

Over the Edge Sports Bar & Pizzeria (230 E. Main Street) will host one of the 12 qualifying rounds and owner Chris Moyle says he wants to see a Manchester winner come out of the event at his venue! He also wants plenty of Manchester folks to come on out and cheer on their favorite “idol.”

Moyle is proud to have Manchester selected for one of 15 locations around the W4 Country listening area. “We were the second to last site chosen, so we feel very fortunate to be represented. Now we just need to have a Manchester winner.”

Registration for each qualifying night is from 6-7 pm. The competition begins at 7. A new finalist is crowned by 9 pm. You must be 21 or over to compete. Finalists earn a pass to the finale Friday, July 12th at The Kensington Hotel (3500 S State St, Ann Arbor), and each finalist wins a $50 gift card to Lewis Jewelers AND tickets to see Chris Stapleton on August 2 at D.T.E. Energy Music Theatre.

Four of the finalists at our finale on Friday, July 12th will win a prize from one of the contest’s sponsors. Fourth place winner will receive a $750 Visa Gift Card from Ideal You; the third place finalist earns a $1,250 Check from O&W Distributors/Coors Light; second place is a $1,500 Gift Card to Lewis Jewelers; and the Grand Prize winner will drive home with a two-year lease on a new 2019 Ford Escape from Brighton Ford.
