Summer road work continues

Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) has announced its planned road work for the week of June 17. Affected roads in the Manchester area include the following:

• Bridgewater Township: Hogan Road, which has been closed northwest of Wallace Road for a culvert replacement, has been reopened!
• Freedom Township: Parker Rd between Weber Rd and Pleasant Lake Rd. will continue intermittent road closures for gravel resurfacing through 6/21.
• Manchester Township: Sharon Hollow Rd between Ely Rd and Herman Rd, intermittent lane closures for limestone overlay through 6/27
• Sharon Township: Easudes Road between Prospect Hill and Jacob will have intermittent lane closures through 6/19; and Struthers Road between Jacob and Grass Lake Roads will also have intermittent closures, both for gravel resurfacing, through 6/20.

In better news for Sharon Township residents and others who regularly travel the detour route for the Sharon Valley Road bridge, the bridge was reopened Friday afternoon, June 14.
