The Blue Water Ramblers will present a 4th of July Program about Michigan, America and their Life as they visit the Gazebo Concert series at 7:30 pm this Thursday.

Yes, there will be a concert on July 4–it will be a great way to wind down your celebration of Independence day following the fireworks on Wednesday night and the Farmers Market on Thursday afternoon. Come down, enjoy the music, and spend time with friends and neighbors.

The Blue Water Ramblers, est. 2002, write their own songs and take turns harmonizing with each other to create a colorful tapestry of sounds. “Banjo-Jim” Foerch on his acoustic and electric banjos and R.H. “Bear” Berends on his big Marten guitar are the core of the Rambler vocal and writing team. Add “California Dan” Lynn laying down the steady rhythm on his doghouse bass and “Deacon Marten” VanEyk adding just the right amount of fiddle harmonies and fills, and what do you get? The unique Blue Water Rambler sound.

“In our performances you will hear songs expressing our unique take on life both present and past in styles folky to bluegrass, Americana and roots,” according to the BWR website.

Don’t miss this fun and enthusiastic group, who will wrap up the first half of the Manchester Gazebo Concert season. We’ll be taking a two-week break for the Manchester Fair and the Manchester Chicken Broil; our next concert will be Thursday, July 25.

This week, bring a blanket or a chair; bring your favorite refreshments; and enjoy a very special holiday concert.

The Manchester Gazebo Concert series for 2019 is generously supported by The Riverfolk Music & Arts Organization; 5 Healthy Towns in cooperation with Manchester Wellness Coalition; Frank’s Place; Jody Flowers–Edward Jones Investments; and LaRock Dental. Concerts are free to the public but we do pass a basket at intermission. If you’d like to make a donation online, it’s easy at the Riverfolk website.

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
