Road closures west of the village this week

On Monday, July 15, 2019, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will close two roads west of the Village for chip sealing–Sharon Valley Road between Prospect Hill Road and Sharon Hollow Road in Sharon Township and Austin Road between the County Line and the Village of Manchester in Manchester Township.

WCRC states, “The roads are still able to be used, it’s a light closure and delays are expected while the crews are working.” The chip-sealing is expected to take approximately two days. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.

After Sharon Valley Road is chip sealed, Sharon Hollow Rd between Sharon Valley Rd and Pleasant Lake Rd and then Pleasant Lake Rd between Sharon Hollow Rd and M-52 will be chip sealed, leading to road closures. Also in Sharon Township, Grass Lake Rd between Sylvan Rd and M-52 will see closures this week for chip sealing.

Sharon Hollow Rd between Ely Rd and Herman Rd in Manchester Township will continue to experience intermittent lane closures while WCRC works on improving drainage.
