Clinton United Church of Christ, located at 300 Tecumseh Road in Clinton, is sponsoring a special, FREE, Youtharama Event on Saturday, July 27. Youth, parents, and other interested adults are invited to attend.

A free concert featuring the Christian rock band “Second Day Story,” will be held from 6-8:30 pm. Second Day Story takes a fresh approach to rock music that is on a mission to praise God through their music. The event will also focus on suicide awareness with a presentation by popular special guest speaker Tony Weatherly from RU?OK.

Visit the Facebook Event page at https://www.facebook.com/events/390244108472373/ for more information and to listen to a preview of music by Second Day Story.

RU?OK is co-sponsored by Oxygen Youth, an outreach to students and young adults.

“In our world today, many students struggle with depression, anxiety, loneliness, isolation, bullying, peer pressure, family conflict, self-worth, etc. Oxygen promotes hope, truth and joy, having meaningful and true friendship with others,” according to the website.

Oxygen Youth offers places where students can feel welcomed and supported just as they are. Caring staff will walk with students through hurts, hang-ups and habits, providing resources that can be applied in preventing future struggles.

All ages are welcome. Youth Groups from churches in the surrounding area are welcome to contact Clinton UCC at 517-456-4636 for more information. Refreshments will be provided, and a freewill offering will be received.
