The Manchester Equestrian Team has had an exciting season so far! Last weekend, we won our last district meet, giving us enough points to put us in second overall, earning our way a spot in the regional championships! We are so proud of our riders. They have all improved so much over the course of the season. Every week they come prepared to learn and give it their all!

Another exciting bit of news is that we have started a new traveling trophy, The Cody Simpson Speed Trophy, for high-point speed rider in our district. This trophy is to honor our beloved friend and fellow horseman, Cody Simpson. Cody has been a dear friend to everyone that knows him. Unfortunately, last October, he was in a car accident that left him disabled. We are honored by all of the generous donations that the community have made to make this trophy possible.

Come support the team this weekend at regionals. Rider will be showing Friday Sept 27, Saturday the 28th, and Sunday the 29th at the Ingham County fair grounds.

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
