Music is a piece of of art that goes in the ears and straight to the heart.”

After being inspired by the Waterhill Porch concerts in Ann Arbor, some Manchester residents thought it would be fun to host a similar event.

Bring your own lawn chair or small blanket and spend a beautiful autumn afternoon listening to some the best musicians in the state, with genres ranging from roots, to rock and blues, to country (and a fusion of all of the above).

The second annual Westside Porch Concerts will be held on Territorial Street in Manchester this Sunday, September 29, beginning at 2 pm and running through 7 pm. The shows will begin one after another, going from east to west. This year’s series features the Grammy award-winning Madcat Ruth and John Churchville; Dick Siegel; Jo Serrapare and John Divine; Hoodang; and Al Jacquez

Purchase a wristband for $20 in advance, and attend all five performances!  All monies collected go to the musicians and sound technician. Parking instructions will be provided with wristband purchase. If it rains, concerts will take place in the back, large pavilion at Carr Park.

Wristbands can be purchased at westsideporchconcerts.bpt.me, or purchase directly from any of the hosts by calling 734-255-4646 or private message Westside Porch Concerts on Facebook.

Don’t miss a fun filled afternoon of really great tunes!
