Although Manchester recently faced the disbanding of our Kiwanis Club, the Kiwanis Club of Saline is still active, and on Saturday, October 12th will be holding their own reverse raffle event, Win Big for Kids! Chris Wagner of the Kiwanis Club of Saline stated, “This event is similar to the popular Crazy Ca$h Night which had been an annual event in Manchester. We think there may be interest in the Manchester community!”

Win Big for Kids is being held at the American Legion Hall in Saline. Doors open at 5 pm. Tickets are $50 each and only 140 will be sold. Tickets can be purchased at the door or by visiting kiwanisclubofsaline.com. Multiple gift certificates and prizes will be awarded throughout the night. The top prize will be $2,500 (need not be present to win). In addition to the prime rib dinner there will be a cash bar, and while wearing costumes is optional, there will be prizes for best costume.

All funds raised will go to help kids in Saline including backpacks for homeless youth, scholarships for Saline graduates, sending needy kids to camp, youth baseball and softball, purchasing dictionaries for all third graders and supporting Kids Against Hunger.

Manchester’s Crazy Ca$h was organized and run for many years by our local Kiwanis Club but last year was taken over by Manchester Community Schools who ran the 20th annual Crazy Ca$h as a successful school fundraiser last March.

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
