Klager & Riverside Fun Run a success despite rain

5th and 6th graders participating in the Fun Run in Riverside Intermediate School’s gym last Wednesday.

Luther C. Klager Elementary School and Riverside Intermediate School held their Fun Run last Wednesday. Usually held on the track, it was moved indoors to their respective gyms because of rain. Students wore specific colors by grade.

The Fun Run was the ending event of a month-long fundraiser for the schools’ PTO. Students just barely missed meeting their goal, raising 97% of $18,950. Money raised will be used to pay for field trips, teacher assemblies, student field day, March is Reading Month, Math and Science Night, Senior Citizen Luncheon, and the talent show.
