Dr. Julie in her new addition.

submitted by Manchester Downtown Development Authority

When Dr. Julie purchased Manchester Eye Care Center in 1993, it was located at  227 E Main Street; however it was moved to 110 Riverside Drive in 1996. Prior to her purchasing the current building, it had been a home and it was then converted to become an office. In 2005, when the need for more room grew, the attached garage was eliminated and the inside was remodeled with the help of local interior decorator Heather Rathburn. Ron Milkey of Premier Contracting handled the construction.

That space sufficed for many years until Dr. Julie decided to add an associate doctor to her practice, which resulted in the need for another exam room. With limited options available, a porch on the back side of the building was eliminated and an additional exam room, large spectacle display area, a contact lens dispensing area, and additional office space were added in the summer of 2017 by local contractor Jeff Proctor. Dr. Julie says this will be her last remodel/addition, but you never know — she loves to keep up with the newest technology, and you never know what that may bring!

Although employee Kathy Gould and Dr. Julie ran the practice initially, employees have been added over the years and currently Dr. Julie has four full-time employees in addition to her associate, Dr. Michelle Danko.
