PLANNING COMMISSION
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE VILLAGE PLANNING COMMISSION ORDINANCE, ORDINANCE NO. 277 OF 2011, AS IT IS INCORPORATED IN THE VILLAGE OF MANCHESTER CODE OF ORDINANCES, TITLE III: ADMINISTRATION, CHAPTER 31: VILLAGE ORGANIZATIONS, SECTION 31.02: ESTABLISHMENT, BY AMENDING THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS OF THE VILLAGE OF MANCHESTER PLANNING COMMISSION TO FIVE (5).
THE VILLAGE OF MANCHESTER, WASHTENAW COUNTY, MICHIGAN, HEREBY ORDAINS:
Section 1. Amendment To Planning Commission Ordinance
Ordinance No. 277, the Planning Commission Ordinance, as incorporated in Chapter 31 of the Village of Manchester Code of Ordinances, Section 31.02 Establishment, is hereby amended to read as follows:

CHAPTER 31: VILLAGE ORGANIZATIONS
PLANNING COMMISSION
Section 31.02: ESTABLISHMENT
The Village Council hereby confirms the establishment under the Michigan Planning Enabling Act, Public Act 33 of 2008, M.C.L.A. Section 125.3801 et seq., of the Village of Manchester Planning Commission formerly established under the City, Village and Municipal Planning Act, P.A. 285 of 1931 M.C.L.A. Section 125.31 et seq. The Village of Manchester Planning Commission shall have 5 members. The positions eliminated from the original 7 member Commission shall be one of the terms ending 2019 and one of the terms ending 2021 which are both currently unfilled. Members of the Village of Manchester Planning Commission as of the effective date of Ord. No. 301, shall, except for an ex officio member whose remaining term on the Planning Commission shall be limited to his or her term on the Village Council, continue to serve for the remainder of their existing terms so long as they continue to meet all of the eligibility requirements for Planning Commission membership set forth within the Michigan Planning Enabling Act, Public Act 33 of 2008, M.C.L.A. Section 125.3801 et seq.
Section 2. Severability
If any section, paragraph, clause, or provision of this Ordinance shall be held invalid, the invalidity of such section, paragraph, clause, or provision shall not affect any of the other provisions of this Ordinance.
Section 3. Effective Date
The Village Clerk shall cause this Ordinance, or a synopsis of this Ordinance, to be published in the manner required by law within fifteen (15) days after it has been duly adopted by the Village Council. The effective date shall be the 20th day after the date of publication.
