WCSO report: October 2019 police activity in Village of Manchester

Newsworthy activity during the month of October, 2019, as provided by Sgt. Beth Gieske and Lt. Lisa King to the Village of Manchester

  • On October 9, 2019 Deputies were dispatched to the 700 block of E. Main Street for a Malicious Destruction of Property. Two juveniles spray painted picnic tables and walls. The juveniles have been identified and the case has been sent to the Prosecutor’s Office for review.
  • On October 11, 2019 Deputies responded to a crash investigation inside of 101 Hibbard Street. The suspect fled on foot from the crash. Later in the evening the deputies located the suspect and he was subsequently arrested for suspected Operating While Under the Influence of Drugs/Alcohol. The case has been sent to the Prosecutor’s Office for review.
  • On October 12, 2019 Deputies responded to the 300 block of Wildwood Drive for an identity fraud complaint. A subject was attempting to open accounts in the caller’s name.
  • On October 20, 2019 Deputies researched social sites to find a set of keys that had been reported to the station as lost. The deputy located the keys and returned them to the owner.
  • On October 20, 2019 Deputies responded to the 100 block of Main Street for a Malicious Destruction of Property report. The exterior to a business had been damaged. It is believed that a deer may have caused the damage.
