Roger enjoyed many hobbies and interests in his life: hunting, fishing, woodworking, motorcycle racing and Civil War re-enacting. He was a member of the Civil War Re-enactment group Battery B First Michigan Light Artillery and greatly enjoyed the camaraderie of this group. In recent years, he enjoyed restoring antique tractors, farming his several acres and tending to his goats, chickens and pigs. He was adored by his grandchildren and enjoyed playing with them and teaching them about his many interests. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
