RESOLUTION NO. 19-14

A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CEMETERY ORDINANCE TO REGULATE, OPERATE AND MAINTAIN MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP OWNED CEMETERY’S

WHEREAS, Manchester Township owns property being used as a cemetery and an Ordinance was drafted related to the operation, control, and management of cemeteries in the Township; and

WHEREAS, a public hearing concerning the language was approved at the January 9, 2020 Planning Commission meeting; and

WHEREAS, the Manchester Township Board of Trustees approved the Ordinance language at their January 2020 meeting;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Manchester Township Cemetery Ordinance is hereby approved and adopted by the Township Board of the Township of Manchester, Michigan, this 14th day of January 2020.

The foregoing Resolution was offered by Board Member Milkey and supported by Board Member Macomber.

A roll call vote on the above Resolution was taken and was as follows: 

ADOPTED:  January 14, 2020

Ayes:  Carey, Milkey, Seefeld, Macomber, Proctor, DeRossett, Moutinho

I, the undersigned Township Clerk of the Township of Manchester hereby certify that the foregoing resolution is a true and complete copy of a resolution adopted at a regular meeting of the Township Board of the Township of Manchester held on January 14,2020, the original of which is on file in my office, and that notice of such meeting was given, and the meeting was conducted, pursuant to and in compliance with the Act Np. 267, Michigan Public Acts of 1976, as amended.
