Worth Repeating needs your help!

The time is coming … Worth Repeating is facing a countdown to its opening day, March 4!

The timeline has been established and the next volunteer meeting is set for 7 pm on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 7 pm at the Kingsley-Jenter House, 302 E. Main Street. Invite your friends–all kinds of volunteers are needed! Folks who can work one day per week, one day every other week, or one day per month. Folks who can work three hours at a time. Folks who can work only during the summer months because they spend winters in warmer climates. Folks who may be available on an as-needed basis.

Volunteer shifts will be about three hours per shift, with expected store hours to be 11-5 Wednesday through Saturday each week. Two shifts per day will be scheduled. Do you think you might be able to help out? Then be sure to attend this volunteer meeting to find out more!

On Wednesday, Feb. 12 (time to be determined), a Cleaning Brigade will provide yet another type of volunteer opportunity. Clean shelves, set up clothing racks, and more … as your grandma used to say, many hands make light work!

On Friday, Feb. 14, Worth Repeating volunteers only will be allowed to bring in donations, allowing for a hands-on training session for collecting, sorting, and pricing donated items. This is in preparation for the already-publicized first day for community donations, on Saturday, Feb. 15. Lots of volunteers will be needed for this day! Plan to stay an hour, two hours, or more if you’re available.

A “deep-cleaning and painting” volunteer session will be scheduled prior to the Feb. 12 set up dates. More information will be available as these dates are finalized.

**Please make pre-arrangements before delivering large furniture to the store. There will not usually be adequate volunteers on hand to help lift and carry.

The mission of Worth Repeating is to sell donated items to the public to provide funds to other non-profits in the Manchester area. Therefore, acceptable items must be easily resalable. When in doubt, please contact a Worth Repeating volunteer for further guidance.

Worth Repeating looks forward to opening and serving the Manchester community soon!
