Scholastic Action Shooting Program Michigan Banquet
submitted by Pistol Prodigies Youth Pistol and Rifle Team
Manchester’s own Pistol Prodigies Youth Pistol and Rifle Team has the honor of hosting the second Scholastic Action Shooting Program (SASP) National Banquet in Michigan. The event will take place on Saturday February 22, at The Washtenaw Farm Council Event Center and Fairgrounds in Ann Arbor. In 2018, the first Michigan banquet, the Pistol Prodigies had the LARGEST banquet in SASP history. The funds from the banquet will support both the nationwide program and the local teams. The banquet is open to the public with a limit of 250 tickets being sold. And they are going fast! If you are interested in banquet tickets, please email the head coaches of Pistol Prodigies Youth Pistol and Rifle Team and state advisers, Scott and Lisa Poet at thepoets@yahoo.com, or call 734-323-5295 or 734-323-5293 or visit Andrews Family Chiropractic.
All banquet attendees will have a great meal catered by Stockwell’s Catering of Manchester, with a cash bar on site. Attendees are also entered in the door prize drawings. The “Grand” door prize will be a gun! Runner-up “Grand” door prize will be $100 cash! The Poets elaborated, “There will be more gun giveaways, raffles, 50/50, live and silent auctions, and a whole lot of FUN. Other pay-to-play games, including card-deck raffles, mystery boxes, dice games, egg toss, and more will be available to try your luck at winning some of the great prizes that have been donated by our awesome sponsors.” In 2018, the group gave away more than 20 guns and other awesome prizes. They concluded, “On behalf of all of ‘our kids’, The Pistol Prodigies would like to say THANK YOU to our team sponsors, banquet sponsors, the SASP, our families, the Manchester Sportsman Club, and our friends and neighbors for supporting us while we do what we love.”
