WCSO report: January 2020 police activity in Village of Manchester

Provided by the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office to the Village of Manchester. 

During the month of January there were 162 calls for service (including traffic stops). Deputies conducted 82 traffic stops during this time with 21 citations issued.

Noteworthy events in Manchester Village during the month include:

  • On January 7, deputies went to the 500 block of West Main Street where they arrested a 38-year-old male for an outstanding felony warrant out of Lenawee County. The subject was arrested and turned over to Lenawee County without incident.
  • On January 11, deputies responded to the 100 block of Hibbard Street for a subject who was knocking on a resident’s window. A 27-year-old Manchester Township resident was located near the residence. He was served a trespass notice for the property and taken home.
  • On January 14, deputies responded to the 100 block of Hibbard Street for a report of someone screaming in the area. Deputies were unable to locate the origin of the noise and did not find anyone in need of assistance.
  • On January 18, deputies responded to the 200 block of East Main Street for a hit-and-run traffic crash. A witness had obtained the plate of the offending vehicle. Both parties knew each other and worked through the incident without prosecution sought.

Deputies also investigated 26 ordinance violations during the month of January.
