Easter at St. Mary’s
For the people of St. Mary Catholic Church and for Christians throughout the world, Eastertime is sacred, joyful, and glorious – the summit of the Church year! And in anticipation, special prayers and services are held during the Holy Week leading up to Easter, especially during the three days called the “Sacred Triduum” (from Holy Thursday evening to Easter Sunday evening).
So what about this year? How will Holy Week and the Sacred Triduum be observed when we are all under a Stay-Home order? How about at St. Mary’s?
The people of St. Mary and the community will be blessed to be able to view all the beautiful and sacred liturgies. Fr. Bosco will celebrate the Masses privately, i.e. without the congregation, and then they will be posted on the parish website and Facebook page within a couple of hours.
The list of liturgies below includes the date and approximate time each will be posted:
Holy Thursday Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper (Thurs., April 9 at 10 pm)
Good Friday Stations of the Cross (Fri., April 10 at 6 pm)
The Good Friday Liturgy: The Passion of the Lord (Fri., April 10 at 6 pm)
Easter Vigil Mass in the Holy Night of Easter (Sat., April 11 at 11 pm)
