Lasinski and Theis find alternative methods of holding town halls
Manchester’s State Representative Donna Lasinski and State Senator Lana Theis are frequent visitors to Manchester and have both held multiple coffee hours since winning their elections to represent us in Lansing. Because of COVID-19, they are finding alternative methods of connecting with constituents. You can participate and ask questions!
Sen. Theis will host a tele-town hall on Tuesday, April 21 at 5:30 pm to answer questions from constituents about filing for unemployment benefits in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak. She will be joined by a representative from the state Unemployment Insurance Agency. To participate: call-in number is 855-756-7520, extension 59550#. RSVP online here.
Rep. Lasinski will be holding a Facebook Live town hall Tuesday, April 21 from 7 to 8 pm to give updates about what’s been happening in our state, legislative updates, and resources that can help you through the COVID-19 pandemic. To participate, go to Rep. Lasinski’s facebook page here.
Rep. Lasinski COVID-19 will be featured in a webinar hosted by the Michigan League of Conservation Voters on Thursday, April 23 from 4 to 4:45 pm on Zoom and Facebook Live. They will dig into questions on how the crisis will affect our state’s plans for the future and how priorities might shift. They’ll discuss impacts to the state budget, staffing at key state agencies, impacts to elections, and climate resiliency planning. In addition to Rep. Lasinski, State Representatives Joe Tate and Scott VanSingel will also be featured.
