Obituary: Hilda May Arnold

Hilda May Arnold (1927 – 2020)

Hilda May Arnold, 92, passed away April 27, 2020.  She was born on May 29, 1927 in Manchester, Michigan to Edward and Helen Dayss. Hilda married the love of her life, Clare E. Arnold, on June 8, 1946, in Manchester, Michigan. She will be remembered for her love of spending time with her family, going to the casinos with her sister, Cora, and traveling with all of her sisters. She enjoyed bowling, and playing cards at the Senior Center, but truly loved going out to eat, especially enjoying a good steak dinner. Hilda worked at Edward Brothers, retiring after almost 20 years. She was also a longtime employee of the IGA Market of Manchester. Hilda will be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Hilda will be missed by her children, Gayle (Herbert) Roehm, Scott (Pattie) Arnold; her sister, Cora Iwanicki; grandchildren, Angela (Mark) Drake and Dillon Arnold; great grandchildren, Danielle Bunny, Gage Drake and Ashton Drake; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Clare, and four brothers, three sisters.

Hilda’s family held a private viewing. Her memorial services will be held at a later date at Eineder’s Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Manchester Chapel.
