Outdoor burning permits are available through Manchester Township Fire Department.

Manchester Township Fire Department is still able to issue burn permits despite the service outages at the Township offices and fire hall. The regular number, 734.428.9439, is out of service at this time due to the accident that occurred Sunday afternoon, and no date has yet been scheduled for resumption of service.

At this time, according to Fire Chief Bill Scully, residents in all townships may call 734.428.8122 and leave a message to obtain a burn permit for a non-recreational fire.

Non-recreational burning is not allowed in the village.
