Yes, Virginia … despite the quarantine, there will indeed be a “Celebrity Server” this year. And it won’t be just one night ─ this will be School Employee Week at the Emanuel Church ice cream truck, with school staff planning on being in the trailer from 3-8 pm each evening, Wednesday – Saturday.

Participants will include June 10, 3-5 pm: Ellen Supers, Kathy O’Mara, Suzanne Birgy, Susan Thompson; June 10, 5-8 pm: Erica Kranz, Kerry Wolfe, Terri Punches; June 11, 3-6 pm: April Stewart, Mark West, Melissa Yekulis; June 11, 6-8 PM: Jill Smith, Liz VanBogelen; June 12, 3-5 pm: Julie Charney, Sandi Fillyaw, Cori Kastel, Danielle VanBogelen; June 12, 5-8 pm: Carrie Walz, Tracy Zigila, Diane Rickert, Muriel Dority; and June 13, 3-6 pm: Karin Villarreal, Mark West; 6-8 pm: Ron Tindall & Karin Villarreal.

Other school staff may show up at any time, so be on the lookout … your favorite teacher or staff member just might be serving up your ice cream treat when you come this week.

This is an opportunity for teachers and school staff to give back to the community. No tips are expected.
