As Gov. Whitmer issued a new Executive Order last Monday, Manchester Village Council made decisions on “re-opening.”

Last Monday night, the Manchester Village Council had just a few hours to review the Governor’s lengthy Executive Order 2020-110, outlining when various businesses and services could re-open.

A decision was made at the Council’s tele-conference meeting to re-open parks as soon as possible, with signs reminding users of reasonable precautions. Those signs were posted by mid-week.

The Village offices re-opened on Monday, June 8, with regular office hours, 8 am-4:30 pm. If you have questions, contact the office at 734-428-7877.

Several other Manchester businesses have already re-opened or are re-opening this week, including Linda’s Diner and Two Black Sheep restaurant, which are open for regular hours starting June 8. The Hungry Wolf is re-opening on Tuesday, June 9. Masks are being required at most eateries until you are seated.

The Shoppes at Alber Mill are offering Thursday Markets, starting June 11, with outdoor booths. Check their Facebook Page for information on becoming a vendor for these events.
