To help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and to continue to serve our community, Manchester District Library will be reopening in stages as we begin to make our services available again. Below is an outline of our initial plan as well as some FAQs.

Level 6:  Ending June 7th:

MDL is closed to non essential staff and public.

Level 5:  Beginning June 8th

Staff only at Manchester District Library. We will be reviewing new policies, process new books and movies that have been received, and preparing the Library with compliant guidelines provided by the State of Michigan and the CDC.

Level 4: Beginning June 15th

Curbside pickup available 11 am – 5 pm Monday – Friday; Saturday 10-2. Request for local items via phone or online request. Limit five items per card. Building will be closed to the public. No donations will be accepted.

Level 3:  Tentatively July 15th

Curbside Pickup available. A limited number of patrons (following CDC guidelines) will be allowed in library, masks required, social distancing. There will be no in-house programs at this time. There will be a one-hour time limit on public computers. Copier and fax will be available. No donations will be accepted. Additional hours may be added.

Level 2:  Date TBD

Regular Hours Resume. Masks required, social distancing. Proctoring available.

Level 1:  Date TBD

All library services resume. Donations will be accepted.

As we move forward, these guidelines are subject to change. We are eager to resume servicing our community. We have missed you!
