WCSO report: May 2020 police activity in Village of Manchester

During the month of May, WCSO deputies responded to 67 calls for service (including traffic stops). Toward the end of the month, deputies began conducting more traffic enforcement; during this time a total of 11 traffic stops were made with four citations issued.

Noteworthy events in the Manchester collaboration during the last month include:

  • On May 10, a collaboration Deputy handled a Property Damage Crash on Macomb Street.
  • On May 14, the collaboration Deputy took an ID fraud for a Lodi Township resident. The victim’s social security number had been used to rent an apartment and failed to pay, resulting in the matter being turned over to a collection agency. Through the investigation, the Deputy was able to identify a suspect. The case has been turned over to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office.
  • On May 15, the collaboration Deputy took a report where a Manchester resident was swindled and defrauded out of $2,000 of gift cards. There is no suspect information at this time.
  • On May 18, a collaboration Deputy took a report of an identity fraud in the 2600 block of Brassow Road (Lodi Township). The victim received correspondence in the mail regarding an apartment for which they had not applied. The victim discovered several attempts were made online for credit in their name. There is no suspect information at this time.
  • On May 21, a collaboration Deputy responded to the 100 block of Main Street to investigate an Assault and Battery. The victim reported an assault which had occurred in December 2019 by a coworker. The victim did not wish to prosecute.

Deputies investigated one ordinance violation during the month of May 2020.
