American 1 lobbies are now open for full services
American 1 Credit Union has announced all of its branch locations are now fully open for services, effective Monday, June 15. The reopening of the branch lobbies was communicated to all American 1 members last week.
“Our entire team has worked hard for this day. The decision to reopen came with a lot of advanced preparation and thought,” said Martha Fuerstenau, President/CEO of American 1. “We coordinated our timeline with the other area credit unions, implemented necessary safety measures to protect members and staff, and added additional signage in our lobbies to ensure social distancing.”
In all American 1 branches, the following safety protocols will remain in place until further notice:
- The number of members allowed inside the branch at one time will be limited, so members may be asked to wait outside
- Before being allowed into the branch, a greeter will check government-issued ID and ask members to remove their masks momentarily to verify identity
- Face masks are required to be worn at all times while in the branch
- No public restrooms are available
For American 1 members who still prefer not to go into a branch, the majority of essential banking services can be done remotely through American 1’s Online Banking, Mobile App (with mobile check deposit), 24-hour Contact Center, and other self-service options.
Established in 1950, American 1 Credit Union today serves over 58,000 members with branches in Jackson, Washtenaw, Hillsdale, Calhoun, Lenawee, and Wayne counties. American 1 is proud to serve the members of their communities by creating financial wellness through personal everyday banking.
