This t-shirt artwork, designed by Joy Matthews, will be featured on the 2020 Canoe Race shirts. Whether or not you plan to participate in the race, you can order your shirt for just $15 by July 6 and show your support for this Manchester tradition!

The 54th annual Manchester Canoe Race will go on! It will be held this year on the third Sunday in July instead of the third Sunday in May.

A commemorative t-shirt, designed by Manchester artist Joy Matthews, is available to one and all–whether or not you participate in the race! You can order your shirt when registering, or place an order via email to sybil.kolon@gmail.com. The cost is just $15 for a memory of the 2020 event.

Order by July 6 to get yours on race day, July 19. If there is enough interest, an additional order will be placed after the race.

Local resident Joy Matthews, won the t-shirt drawing contest last year. When planning time ran out and another contest couldn’t be organized, Joy put her creative juices to work and came up with a fun recognition of the current situation–complete with masked contestants! Thank you, Joy!

Wording on the shirt is being finalized, but will include 54th Manchester River Raisin Canoe/Kayak Race, and the date — July 19, 2020. Sponsors will be listed on the back. The color has not been decided, but the committee is leaning toward light blue.

All proceeds will go to the Manchester Music Boosters, who are raising money for a trip to Europe next year.
