Traditional programming at the Manchester District Library looks a little different this summer. Despite the temporary closure, summer reading and more is already in full swing, thanks to the efforts of some creative and talented library staff.

There is still time to participate in the summer reading program, going on now through August 12. Kids, teens, and adults can register at manchesterlibrary.info, spend the summer with some good books, and win spectacular prizes.

Participants ages 6 to 18 can pick up a summer reading program bag at the library after registering. Bags contain all the materials and information needed to complete the program. Teen participants can complete a special scavenger hunt activity for extra prize opportunities.

Don’t know what to read? Readers of all age levels can ask for a Grab-and-Go bundle, and get a curated selection of 5 books selected for you.

To complement the summer reading program, MDL also offers virtual youth programming throughout the summer.

Join Miss Stacia via Facebook Live for a variety of programs. She presents a picture book storytime every Tuesday at 10:30 am. Miss Stacia also hosts a maker project every Friday at 10:30 am for kids and every other Thursday for teens. Pre-register to pick up supplies from the library, or use your own.
