54th Annual Manchester River Raisin Canoe/ Kayak Race results

Canoe/Kayak Race organizers submitted the following statement:

“We did it, with so much help from everyone!  Thanks to all the participants, we persevered in spite of the very heavy storm mid-race. 53 canoes and kayaks went down the river, and all arrived at the finish line in one piece–some wetter than others.

Three of those who had registered scratched on the last day, (and not even because of the weather, it seems.)

Medals were awarded to the winners who were present. Local people can pick up their medals at Ash Auto. We will mail the medals to those who are not nearby and departed before the race was done.

We faced a lot of challenges and we know we can always do better; we would welcome feedback.
