WCSO report: June 2020 police activity in Village of Manchester

During the month of June, there were 94 calls for service. During this time, a total of 13 traffic stops were made with one citation issued. Noteworthy events in Manchester Village during last month include:

June 5 – A citizen reported while parked at a business in the 500 block of W. Main St. an unknown person keyed and/or scratched the vehicle being driven by the complainant. There are no suspects.

June 5 – The collaboration deputy investigated a report of an assault & battery in the 600 block of E. Duncan St. As a result of the investigation an arrest was made, and the case was turned over to the prosecutor’s office for review.

June 5 – The collaboration deputy investigated a call for suspicious activity near Main and Washington Streets. The caller reported unknown subjects were frequenting the area of a vacant home.

June 6 – The collaboration deputy conducted a welfare check on a subject in the 500 block of W. Main St. An alarm pendant had been active and the caller was unable to raise the subject. Contact was made with the subject, who was fine and advised it was an accidental activation of the alarm.

June 10 – The collaboration deputy checked on a panic alarm in the 600 block of Granger. Contact was made with the homeowner, who advised they were having trouble with the alarm.

June 14 – The collaboration deputy investigated a delayed report of a suspicious situation in the 200 block of Ann Arbor St. The caller reported an unknown person believed to be a teenaged female who had her face covered and dressed in all black clothes took a selfie with the caller’s grandchild. The deputy checked the area for the subject but did not locate anyone matching the description.

June 17 – The collaboration deputy investigated a Felonious Assault complaint in the 700 block of E. Main St. The suspect is alleged to have assaulted a juvenile who was in the area. The case has been turned over to the prosecutor’s office for a review of charges.

June 18 – The collaboration deputy responded to a possible overdose in the 400 block of W. Madison. The deputy contacted the person in question. The overdose was determined to be unfounded.

June 20 – The collaboration deputy assisted a citizen in locating their vehicle in the 200 block of E. Main St. Originally the caller believed their vehicle had been stolen.

June 23 – A collaboration deputy was called to assist with a neighbor dispute regarding property line in the 400 block of W. Madison. All parties were advised regarding their options to remedy the dispute.

June 23 – A collaboration deputy investigated a suspicious situation in the 20000 block of Dutch Drive. The complainant advised a young teenaged male was observed to be partially clothed while lying in the grass. The male was not at all threatening toward anyone. The investigation did not identify who this subject might be.

June 24 – A collaboration deputy investigated a report of a felonious assault in the 500 block of W. Man St. The investigation resulted with an arrest being made, and the case was turned over to the prosecutor’s office for review. The parties involved were known to each other.

June 26 – A collaboration deputy took a report of property being damaged in the 100 block of Hibbard. The complainant reports lawn decorations were being damaged. A review of nearby video footage did not reveal any possible suspect(s).

Deputies investigated nine ordinance violations during the month of June 2020.
