October 2020 Student of the Month, Jacob Mann

MCSF’s October 2020 MHS Student of the Month, Jacob Mann, with MHS principal Eric McCalla

The October 2020 Manchester Community Schools Foundation Student of the Month for Manchester High School is Jacob Mann, the son of Jeff and Becky Mann. He is currently the president of the Key Club, Drama Club, and government, while also actively being involved in the link crew and quiz bowl. Jacob is the Senior Drum Major for the Manchester High School Marching Band.

Jacob has been an active member in the Boy Scouts of America since 2017. While in scouts, he has been involved in many leadership roles. This year he should earn his Eagle Scout rank.

Jacob stays active in the community by volunteering at the Manchester Chicken Broil. He has served the chicken broil with the Boy Scouts setting up and tearing down. Currently he serves on the serving line with his dad, uncle, grandfather, and other family members. He has been a student representative to the school board for two years

After school, Jacob plans to pursue a degree in teaching but hasn’t firmed the exact college yet.
