Worth Repeating continues to give back

Worth Repeating, located at 110 E. Main Street, has great deals and also gives back to the community.
Did you know that Worth Repeating gives grants to local organizations?
They do! Board member Pat Sahakian said that the shop, following the model of the old “Worth Repeating” that was located in the Mill, was founded for the express purpose of giving back to the community via “charitable organizations that are doing things that are designed to make life in Manchester even better.”
And they have been doing that pretty consistently since the store re-opened in June, after being open for just a few days in early March, before the Coronavirus pandemic took over everyone’s lives. Since June, Worth Repeating has donated more than $5,000 back to the community in the form of its grant program. And they would like to donate even more!
Filling out a simple, one-page grant request form is all that is required. Any charitable organization, whether or not it holds 501(c)3 status, is eligible to apply.
So far, Worth Repeating has given grants of $1,000 each to the Chamber of Commerce for holiday lighting downtown, to the Lion’s Club, and to Acorn Farmers Market & Café. The Community Resource Center and Manchester Family Service also received grants.
“Each application will be processed according to what funds we have available,” Sahakian commented. “So far they have been grants of $1,000 but that was in line with what we are making over our expenses.
She added that a group could make multiple applications, “but we will try to disperse our funds fairly and hope to help the community in many different ways.”
Shopping at Worth Repeating this holiday season helps you save money, while helping the community in a variety of ways!
