The weather outside (not to mention the coronavirus) may be frightful but the lights are so delightful!
The Christmas in the Village committee has announced the winners of this year’s Holiday Lighting Contest:
First place, winning a $100 prize, is the Zielinski family at 600 Parr Street, with 57 votes. The family decided to donate their prize money to the Manchester Men’s Club to help out with the fireworks for July 3, 2021.
Second place, earning a $75 prize, was the Stockwells at 313 Wolverine, with 54 votes. The Stockwell family also donated their prize to the Men’s Club.
Third place, earning the $25 award, was Schmidts at 302 Ann Arbor Street, with 53 votes. The voting was very close!
There are many beautifully lighted homes in the village and surrounding areas. Take advantage of the season and walk or drive to see as many as possible this holiday.
“Thanks to all who participated,” said Kim Strickland, who organized the event along with Deb Alber and Linda Milkey.
Unfortunately, due to technical issues, the reading time with Mrs. Santa had to be cancelled, but many participants also enjoyed the Frosty Maze on Saturday afternoon.
