WCSO: January 2021 police activity report in the village of Manchester
During the month of January 2021, the WCSO collaboration responded to 80 calls for service. During this time, 16 traffic stops were made, resulting in 0 citations.
Noteworthy events in Manchester Village during the past month include:
On January 5, a collaboration deputy responded to the 500 block of Galloway Dr. for a report of fraud. The complainant receives home care from a private company. It was discovered that the employee assigned to the resident had stolen his credit card and made purchases with it. The suspect has been identified and the incident will be sent to the prosecutor’s office for review.
On January 11, a collaboration deputy responded to the 700 block of Parr St. for a report of a larceny from vehicle. Upon arrival, the suspect had been detained by witnesses to the incident and subsequently was turned over to the deputy. The suspect was arrested and transported to the jail for arraignment.
On January 13, a collaboration deputy responded to the 100 block of Hibbard St. for a report of identity theft. An unknown suspect had tried to file unemployment in the complainant’s name, but was ultimately unsuccessful since the complainant called 911 prior to any damages being done.
On January 16, a collaboration deputies responded to the 100 block of E. Main St. for a report of a retail fraud. The store clerk reported that two suspects stole merchandise. One of the two suspects was identified by the Deputy investigating the incident. The second suspect’s identity is still unknown at this time.
