Linkedin Learning online courses now available to MDL patrons

The Manchester District Library now offers LinkedIn Learning for Library to patrons free of charge. With a valid library card number and PIN, patrons can access an online learning catalog of more than 16,000 courses in seven languages.

LinkedIn Learning (formerly known as Lynda.com) provides a high-caliber, self-paced online learning experience with expert instructors. Available courses range from basic computer literacy to cutting-edge professional skills, with new courses added weekly. Popular topics include:

·         Leadership & Management

·         Sales & Marketing

·         Project Management

·         Photography

·         3D & Animation

·         CAD

·         Cloud Computing

·         Python

Content can be accessed on both desktop and mobile devices; LinkedIn Learning offers mobile apps for iOS and Android phones and tablets. The mobile app also allows learners to download content for later viewing, even offline.

To register for LinkedIn Learning for Library through the Manchester District Library, visit linkedin.com/learning-login/go/manchesterdistrictlibrary and follow the onscreen instructions. For assistance setting up a new LinkedIn Learning account, including setting up a PIN, call (734) 428-8045 during regular business hours for support by phone.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the MDL building remains closed to the public; however, most services — including hold pickups, personalized selections, grab-and-go bundles, small print / fax jobs, and tax forms — are available via curbside service and contact-less pickup from the front vestibule. Patrons should call (734) 428-8045 before visiting to arrange the services needed. Curbside service hours areMonday-Friday 11 am-6 pm and Saturday 10 am-2 pm.
