Outdoor farmers market to fill the gap during May
submitted by Laura Wohlgemuth, Acorn Farmers’ Market & Café Board
It is with great pleasure that I present our outdoor market is up and running again!
The idea for having an outdoor market this year was to offer vendors who cannot sell inside Acorn Farmers’ Market & Café a place to sell their goods. But due to the recent bumps in the road to opening our new store, we are not only allowing all vendors to sell at the outdoor market, but we will also be open for two days a week — both Thursday and Friday, from 3 to 7 pm. This situation will be temporary starting next week, at Acorn Farmers’ Market & Café’s future location, 455 W. Main St. Once the Acorn Farmers’ Market & Café officially opens, we will reevaluate our market days.
Opening day of our outdoor market will be this Thursday, May 6, 3 to 7 pm. For more information on the outdoor market, or if you are interested in becoming a vendor, please email Laura at farmersmarket48158@gmail.com.
We follow MIFMA’s guidelines for farmers markets which include the most up-to-date information from state and national sources including MDHHS and the CDC. There is a current order from MDHHS instructing both vendors and customers to wear a mask. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation through these interesting times.
It’s very exciting to be up and running again! I know Manchester has really missed seeing our awesome vendor’s faces ~ or at least the half of the face that shows above our masks!
