Meet our intern, Julia Forrest

Julia Forrest

This summer, University of Michigan student Julia Forrest will be interning with the Manchester Mirror! Originally from Hawai’i, she grew up on the island of O’ahu where she fell in love with journalism through her high school broadcast media program. She was previously a writer for the Michigan Daily.

Julia is a rising Junior at the University of Michigan studying Public Policy with a focus on the intersection between policy and media. As she is passionate about politics and public policy, she looks forward to covering how different policies implemented at the state and national level are affecting the residents of Manchester. When not writing, Julia spends her time playing basketball, hiking, and catching a baseball game at Comerica Park.
