To the Editor:

More than 20 years ago the Manchester Kiwanis Club was looking for a fundraising event that would not only meet the needs of our community but would also bring several of our amazing volunteer groups together. When we created Crazy Cash we had no idea just how successful it would be.

Year after year the event grew as applications were received, tickets were sold, donations were made and volunteers worked. Each year almost 400 people gathered together to spend a night of great fun, winning and losing (someone has to) supporting Manchester projects. Amazingly, over the years, $300,000 was raised, supporting projects ranging from pre-school toys to tires for the senior bus.

With many fundraising events cancelled due to the pandemic, the Manchester Community Resource Center (CRC) and the Manchester Community Schools (MCS) needed to find a way to raise funds. They decided there was no better way than to work together and bring back Crazy Cash.

On September 11, we will not only remember and respect this day in our history but will also celebrate our great nation and community.

This is an opportunity for all that have benefited from Crazy Cash in the past to give back. We need our neighbors, friends, and families to buy tickets and join us for a prime rib dinner, lots of chances to win big cash and amazing donated prizes.

Manchester Collision and Towing, Ash Auto, Worth Repeating, Andrews Family Chiropractic, River Raisin Antiques and Mercantile, Steele Grafix, River Raisin Distillery and the Community Resource Center have tickets available. Or purchase online at manchester.revtrak.net

Looking forward to seeing you there. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Pat Vailliencourt on behalf of the CRC and MCS
