Obituary: Daniels Arnett

Daniels Arnett (February 24, 1947 – August 10, 2021)

Daniels Arnett, 74, passed away August 10, 2021. Daniels’ family and friends gathered from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 13, 2021, at Eineder Funeral Homes – Manchester Chapel, 207 E. Duncan St., Manchester, MI. His funeral service was held at 12:00 p.m. following his public visitation. Interment was at Oak Grove Cemetery, Manchester, Michigan. Pastor Chuck McNeil officiated.

Daniels was born on February 24, 1947, in Royalton, Kentucky to Bert and Erma (Joseph) Arnett. He married the love of his life, Marcia Parr, on January 25, 1969, in Detroit, Michigan.   He will be remembered as a man who loved his family above all else.  Daniels was born at home in the hills of Kentucky and moved to Michigan as a child.  He was the first in his family to attend college, and he worked hard to put himself through school and earn his degree from Eastern Michigan University. He was an artist who loved all things in nature, but truly loved painting and taking care of birds.   He also spent time writing, especially poetry.  Daniels loved many kinds of music, from 1960’s rock to bluegrass to country.  He was an excellent woodworker, and he used these carpentry skills to build his own house.  Daniels was drafted and served in the United States Air Force in Vietnam.

Daniels will be missed by his wife, Marcia; his children, Bert (Lisa) Arnett of Osseo, MI; Blake (Nadine) Arnett of Walled Lake, MI; Sarah (Nathan) Santillo of Toledo, OH; and Finley Arnett of Detroit, MI; siblings, Jesse Neal Whitaker of Salyersville, KY; Annetta Arnett of Manchester, MI; Mark Arnett of Brooklyn, MI; and Timothy Arnett of Manchester, MI; and grandchildren Haylee Arnett; Marcus Arnett; Henry Arnett; Lucius Arnett; Cyrus Arnett; Karissa Santillo and Zachary Santillo. He is preceded in death by his parents.
