The Pistol Prodigies Youth Pistol & Rifle Team wrapped up our season with our awards banquet Sunday August 29. This is the day that we reward the hard work of our great team, and reflect on the great season that we had.

One of the biggest highlights this year was we had our first group of Manchester High School students earn their Varsity Letter competing with the team. In 2019, with the assistance of former Superintendent Steinmetz, and approval of the Manchester School Board, the Pistol Prodigies were adopted as a lettered sport at MHS. The 2020-21 season saw the inaugural group of six athletes earn their letter. Bodi, Connor, Hunter, Jordyn, Rhea, and Wesley worked hard on the range and in school to earn this well-deserved honor. Congratulations!

The 2020-21 season was a busy one for the team. We competed seven times, virtually, as well as in person in Michigan (3), Ohio (2) and Wisconsin (2). The team earned 34 medals: fifteen third-place, six second-place and thirteen first-places!

We couldn’t do this without the support from the community. The team would like to say thank you to our AWESOME Sponsors: Ann Arbor Arms, Betsy’s Photography, Boersma Travel, Fletcher Inspections, Friends of NRA, Hit-Em-Back Tracking Service, Huron Gun Collectors, J. Proctor Co., L&B Excavating, Linda’s Diner, MidwayUSA Foundation, NRA Foundation, Rare Tool Incorporated, Sidearm Defense Training, LLC, T&N Service, Inc., and Worth Repeating. Many of our sponsors have been with us since we started the team in 2014. Also a big Thank You to the Manchester Mirror for helping us promote the team! Thank you all!
