Notice to Bidders
Manchester Community Schools New RTU HVAC

Sealed proposals will be received at the Manchester Community Schools — Riverside Intermediate School, 710 E Main Street, Manchester, MI 48158 until Friday, September 17th, 2021 at 2:45 pm. for a general contractor to supply and install a new 25 ton RTU HVAC at Riverside Intermediate School. Bids will be accepted for the entire package (equipment, materials, labor, complete installation, permits, and electrical). Please itemize each portion of your bid proposal. If you are bidding as a subcontractor, please bid the portion that pertains to you. Please see the RTU HVAC Request for Proposal packet for more details.

The bidder must include with the bid a Certificate of Liability Insurance.

Bids are to be sealed and addressed to Shannon Cajic, Manchester Community Schools, 710 E. Main Street, Manchester, MI. 48158 and plainly marked on the outside “A Bid for Manchester Community Schools – “RTU HVAC – Riverside Cafeteria – BID”.

The Manchester Community Schools reserves the right to waive informalities to accept or reject any and all bids, or parts of any and all bids.

2. RTU HVAC

• (1) New Trane 25 Ton Rooftop, and OEM (1) Economizer: RTU
• R410A Rooftop *24 Controls & Built in Phase Monitor * Economizer/Free- Cooling with Honeywell Controller. * Building must be unoccupied, and parking lot area free for lift, thus installation needs to be on a Saturday.
• Scope of project:
  • Disconnect gas, electrical, condensate, controls & duct-work
  • Remove & recycle existing unit responsibility
  • Install (1) New Trane 25-ton rooftop, and economizer
  • Reconnect to existing gas piping, and condensate
  • Reconnect existing control wiring, remount existing electrical disconnect
  • Install and calibrate economizer controls
  • Electrical work
  • Startup unit in heating and cooling operation
  • Paint gas line
  • Boom truck and crane rental
  • Permit
  • Saturday/weekend installation required
