I was (at Acorn Farmers’ Market & Café and Manchester Market) on October 16th for the grand opening. It was great. My visit consisted of finding a “large” variety of prepared foods hiding back in a corner, just beyond the fresh meat and fish counter. Some sauerkraut, macaroni and cheese, and meat dishes. I got the package of prepared ribs. They were tender to the bite, very chewable and flavorful. I look forward to getting kniffles in the future and trying smoked fish soup. There is a simple fresh brewed coffee selection and novelty flavors of gelato. Fresh baked goods to eat now and take home. Vanilla Egg Challah bread is on order. It makes the best grilled cheese with the bread and butter pickles they have for sale.

After walking around the outside perimeter and picking up onion dip for chips and the pickles, I moved to the center where the grocery staples are. As I got the distilled water, I thought about the fact that I could pick this up in Manchester. I did not have to spend the time and money to drive out of town to pick up staples.

I look forward to going back and to supporting the community.
