Obituary: Janice Johnson
Janice Johnson, 85 of Manchester passed away January 8, 2022 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home in Jackson. There will be a celebration of life in the spring.
She was born on October, 16, 1936, in Jackson, Michigan to Aloysius and Charlotte (Blackman) Patton. Janice married the love of her life, Herbert Johnson, on October 6, 1956, in Napoleon, Michigan. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Janice graduated from Napoleon High School class of 1954. She spent her life as a devoted homemaker, taking care of five children kept her busy. Janice loved camping, going to tractor and car shows. One of her favorite things was going to The Tap for lunch and a beer. She was known as a great Euchre player.
Janice will be missed by her children, Brent Johnson, Ann (Steve) Popkey, Ryan (Debbie) Johnson, Kim (Terry Rupp) Byrne, Rhonda (Dave) White and Judy Johnson. Grandchildren; Jessica (Giancarlo) Aversa, Austin (Caitlynne) Scott, Angela (Scotty) Stanley, Ashley (AJ) Dernberger, Wade (Gwen) Goodell, Amanda (Craig) Taylor and Seth (Laura) Goodell, seven great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and her special companion Mike “He’s a good dog”. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herb, her parents and siblings.
