Manchester District Library (MDL) patrons now have another resource for digital borrowing: Kanopy. Kanopy offers streaming video content for no-cost checkout with a library card. The collection includes more than 30,000 thought-provoking titles, including indie movies, television series, foreign films, documentaries, and more.

Library patrons can visit https://manchesterlibrary.kanopy.com/ to create an account. The two-step process requires patrons to:

  1. verify their MDL card number and PIN;

  2. enter name and email address, then choose a password.

The email address and password entered in step 2 will then serve as the patron’s login credentials for their Kanopy account.

Kanopy offers no-wait borrowing and up to eight title loans per month. The Kanopy app is available for most mobile devices and smart TV platforms; or simply log in and watch online.

Visit the MDL website for more information about digital collections and how to get started with Kanopy. Additional online support resources are provided, or patrons can contact the library for assistance.

At this time, MDL is open for browsing and in-person services with no restrictions and also offers curbside service upon request.

Manchester District Library (MDL) is proud to serve the Village of Manchester, Manchester Township, Bridgewater Township, and Freedom Township. Village of Clinton and Clinton Township residents are also eligible for MDL library cards and welcome to use all MDL resources.

Current MDL hours are Monday-Wednesday 11 am-8 pm, Thursday 11 am-7 pm, Friday 11 am-6 pm, and Saturday 10 am-2 pm. The most up-to-date hours and the latest news are always available on the MDL website.

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
